Constantly being added to as I see fit. These are my own thoughts about how the characters are, and are not necessarily canon; this is why they’re called HEADcanons. X3
America:
~Loves watching horror movies, but will steadfastly deny that they scare him, even though they do.
~As much as he fights with England, America really truly loves him, and wouldn’t know what to do or how to deal with it if anything were to happen to him. Calls himself England’s “ex-little brother,” but in his mind still considers England his older brother.
~Despite worrying about his weight all the time, he’s really very healthy, and doesn’t realize that all the extra weight he’s gaining is from the muscle he’s been building from working out all the time while trying to lose weight.
England:
~His old pirate self has become a sort of “alternate” side. He can keep it at bay for the most part, but it comes out when he’s angry or drunk.
~Despite always fighting with America and France, England does care for them, and would do anything to keep them safe.
France:
~Despite being bisexual, he held a lot of love for Seychelles before she broke up with him, and still does to this day. He hopes one day she’ll reconsider and start dating him again.
~He’s always fighting with England, but deep down really cares for him and always has.
Germany:
~As much as he tries to hide it, he does care a lot about Italy and Japan, as well as his brother Prussia. When he and Italy are alone, he lets a little more of his emotions show, going so far as to let Italy sleep with his head on Germany’s chest. He thinks it’s cute.
~He can get drunk after having enough beer, but somehow manages to always avoid having a hangover the next morning. Nobody knows how he does it.
Italy:
~He is, in reality, quite strong and athletic. He and his brother Romano are both very good at soccer, and pour their heart and soul into the sport. He could fight if he wanted to, but doesn’t out of fear that the same thing that happened to his grandfather Ancient Rome, and his first love Holy Roman Empire, will happen to him (ultimately that they died because of the fights they got into). However, if someone threatens anyone he cares about (Romano, Germany, etc.), he will defend them with everything he has.
~He loves Austria and Hungary as his parents, since he never really had any.
Japan:
~He loves China, but tries to hide it. He also cares for Italy, though is still awkward about any sort of physical contact with him or anyone else.
~He also loves Greece, as a very close friend. They respect each others’ differences in culture, and often find themselves wasting the day laying in the grass talking about anything that comes to mind.
China:
~He isn’t afraid of Russia. He used to be, but has come to realize that Russia doesn’t mean any harm, and is only trying to befriend people.
~He hates it when people play with his hair, but is content with letting Russia do so. He’s gotten used to it; Russia would do it whether China wanted him to or not.
~He doesn’t like having his hair so long. At one point he cut most of it off, but after seeing how upset Russia was at China having cut his hair off, he just lets it grow now.
~He has two tattoos, both of which he uses his chi to hide from people. The one on his back is of an ancient lung dragon, and its colors change dependent on China’s mood. He has another dragon tattoo that runs from his left hip, down around his leg, with the head of the dragon on the top of his foot, and by the head of the dragon is the Japanese kanji for “protector.”
Russia:
~He loves China more than anyone else, save for his sister Ukraine.
~He loves playing with China’s hair.
~He still loves Lithuania, despite having broken up with him.
~His magical aura is very dark, having used dark magic for so many years throughout all the wars he’s been involved in. In spite of this and his fascination with impaling things, he has a good heart and good intentions.
Austria:
~Cares for Italy, though can still be a bit harsh with him. Hungary is usually there to warn him when he’s doing so.
~Loves Hungary, even though they’re divorced.
~Still cares about Switzerland as his best friend, even after all these years.
~Doesn’t really mind when Prussia picks on him, but will defend anyone he cares about.
Hungary:
~Still loves Austria, even though they’re divorced.
~Sees Italy as her son.
~Hates Prussia, Romania, and Turkey. She will use any excuse she gets to fight with or beat on them.
Greece:
~Truly cares for Japan, and is respectful of his culture differences.
~Hates Turkey, for multiple reasons.
~Sees Italy and Romano as sort-of his brothers, and treats them well, though he dislikes Ancient Rome.
Turkey:
~Doesn’t hate Greece, but tries to stay away from him as much as possible, for multiple reasons.
~Doesn’t really like Ancient Rome.
Romania:
~Is very polite to most people, except those he dislikes.
~Very friendly toward all women except Hungary, who hates him.
~Is a vampire, but can be out in sunlight as long as it’s not for much more than a few hours, otherwise he gets sick. Also, the smell of garlic bothers him, but he can still eat and/or touch it if he needs to.
~Is very suave and seductive to both men and women when he wants to be, and can successfully seduce just about anyone if he tries.
Spain:
~Generally goofy, happy and fun-loving, but his past life as a pirate comes back to bite him sometimes when he gets drunk or angry.
~Doesn’t like to fight, but will do so in order to protect those he loves.
~He still loves all his little siblings (Cuba, Argentina, Mexico, etc.) even though most don’t speak to him anymore.
~Truly loves Belgium, but can’t get up the courage to ask her out, partially because of her brother Holland.
